How do we achieve a transparent justice system?
Mrs Justice Cockerill
On 30 April 2024, the Lady Chief Justice, Baroness Carr, announced a new Transparency & Open Justice Board that would examine and seek to modernise the judiciary’s approach to open justice. The Board is focusing on four Key Objectives: Open Courts, Open Reporting, Open Decisions and – of urgent interest to commercial litigators – Open Documents. The LSLA is privileged to be able to offer an update on the work of the Board – and details of a forthcoming pilot scheme on access to public domain documents - from Mrs Justice Cockerill – a member of the Transparency and Open Justice Board and head of the CPRC sub-committee dealing with access to documents.

The cost is £25 for members (non-members £30).
