Litigation funding: where are we now?

Susan Dunn of Harbour Litigation Funding, Rob Williams KC of Monckton Chambers, Luke Streatfeild of Hausfeld LLP, and Nicholas Heaton of Hogan Lovells International LLP

It is clear that litigation funding as a part of the London litigation market is here to stay.  But has litigation funding lived up to its early promise?  Where are we now?  And how do industry insiders see litigation funding developing in the coming years?

Our speakers represent a diverse range of opinions, offering perspectives from a ‘claimant’ and a ‘defendant’ law firm.  We will also have views from a funder itself, and from one of the KCs involved in the recent Supreme Court Trucks decision (with significant consequences for funding).

Please join us for what promises to be a lively discussion, of relevance to all practitioners.

Each lecture will begin at 6 p.m., and will last approximately one hour, which will include an opportunity for questions.  The lectures will be followed by an opportunity for drinks and networking.  Materials and, if practicable, a video recording will appear on the LSLA website after the event.
