The LSLA and Junior LSLA are passionate about the benefits of pro bono. Pro bono organisations provide essential support to individuals who cannot afford legal advice and services, and the professional development and other benefits for lawyers who use their skills to support these causes are invaluable.
Our members are drawn from a variety of civil and commercial disputes practices across London, ranging from major international practices to sole practitioners. Whilst we recognise that many larger practices will have their own pro bono schemes, through the publication of the Pro Bono Organisations and Initiatives List below, as well as other initiatives, the LSLA Pro Bono Subcommittee seeks to promote new and supplementary pro bono opportunities to all its members. The initiatives listed include solicitor support for advocates working pro bono, human rights legal advice, assistance to litigants in person, and advisory work in fields such as corporate governance, intellectual property and employment.
The LSLA Pro Bono committee hopes that the publication of the Pro Bono Organisations and Initiatives List and its other initiatives will encourage more of its members to get involved in the fantastic work of these pro bono organisations and will raise the profile of their excellent causes.
Our Pro Bono Organisations and Initiatives List is non-exhaustive. Please email email@example.com
