The LSLA has a long and successful history of identifying and representing its members' interests, sponsoring wide consultation and debate in the field of civil litigation, and fostering close working links between members.
In a continuation of this philosophy, the LSLA recognises that junior practitioners represent the future of the civil litigation community in London and, with this in mind, the Junior LSLA aims to bring together solicitors of less than 8 years PQE who practice civil litigation and to provide an environment for learning and social interaction, thereby helping junior practitioners develop their own practices.
To this end, the Junior LSLA provides
• "How to…" seminars relevant to the needs of junior members of the profession. The focus is on creating a relaxed environment in which to exchange ideas and debate topical issues without inhibition - over a glass of wine or a refreshing beer. Many of the seminars will be held in conjunction with our counterparts at Junior COMBAR and Junior LSLA members will be able to benefit from discounted rates.
• Networking events for members to meet and form contacts within their peer group.
• E-news on recent and future activity and key developments, with the aim of ensuring that the junior perspective is reflected in the LSLA's responses to consultation papers.
